ROI calculator
Updated November 6, 2026. Runs entirely in your browser; nothing you type is sent anywhere.
Enter a cost (what you put in) and a gain / ending value (what you got back). You'll see simple ROI % = (gain−cost)/cost, the net profit or loss sketch, and one calm sentence you can adapt. This is arithmetic only—not investment advice, not a forecast, and not tax advice.
How to use the number
- Use the same currency and include fees in cost when you want a harsher, more honest sketch.
- For compounding over time, see the free compound interest calculator. For interest without compounding, see the simple interest calculator.
- When the hard part is the bill, raise, or offer call that funds the next move, use a script.
What to say when cash or pay is the bottleneck
Knowing the ROI sketch is step one. Saying the next line on a bill, raise, or offer call is where people freeze. The Bills Kit ($19) gives word-for-word lines for bill moments plus Call Mode. If pay is the lever, see the Offer Kit ($29). One-time purchase, 14-day refund on both.

How is simple ROI calculated?
Simple ROI % = (gain − cost) / cost × 100. Gain is what you get back (or the ending value). Cost is what you put in. A positive ROI means gain exceeded cost on this sketch; negative means a loss.
Is this investment advice?
No. It is simple arithmetic on the numbers you enter, plus a sample sentence you can adapt. It ignores taxes, fees, risk, timing, and opportunity cost. It is not a prospectus, tax advice, or a substitute for a qualified professional.
What should I enter for gain?
Often the ending value, sale proceeds, or total returned. If you only know profit, you can set gain = cost + profit so (gain − cost) equals that profit.
How is this different from annualized return?
This page is a simple ROI percentage over the whole period you have in mind. It does not annualize. For compounding sketches, see the free compound interest calculator.
Guidance only, not legal, financial, or tax advice. The calculator does simple arithmetic on the numbers you enter.
