Net worth calculator

Updated November 6, 2026. Runs entirely in your browser; nothing you type is sent anywhere.

Enter cash, investments, property, other assets, mortgage balances, and other debts. You'll see a net worth sketch (assets − liabilities) and one calm sentence you can adapt. This is arithmetic only—not a portfolio review, not a loan decision, and not financial advice.

How to use the number

What to say when cash or pay is the bottleneck

Knowing the net worth sketch is step one. Saying the next line on a bill, rent, raise, or offer call is where people freeze. The Bills Kit ($19) gives word-for-word lines for bill and landlord moments plus Call Mode. If pay is the lever, see the Offer Kit ($29). One-time purchase, 14-day refund on both.

How is net worth calculated?

Net worth is total assets minus total liabilities. Assets are what you own (cash, investments, home equity sketch, vehicles at a realistic resale, and similar). Liabilities are what you owe (mortgage balance, cards, loans, and similar). This page does that subtraction on the totals you type.

Should I use market value or purchase price?

For a sketch, use a realistic current market value for assets (what you could sell for, not what you hope) and the current payoff balance for debts. Re-run when prices or balances move.

Is this a financial plan or advice?

No. It is simple arithmetic on the asset and liability totals you enter, plus a sample sentence you can adapt. It is not a portfolio review, tax advice, insurance analysis, or a substitute for a qualified professional.

What about retirement accounts and home equity?

Include them if you want a fuller household sketch. Remember taxes, early-withdrawal rules, selling costs, and that home equity is not cash until you sell or borrow against it.

Guidance only, not legal, financial, or tax advice. The calculator does simple arithmetic on the numbers you enter.
